This past customer had a real challenge for us after moving from a town house to a grade 2 listed cottage. She and her husband wanted to keep the cosy kitchen feel but was concerned about the lack of space and usable preparation space. She never imagined being able to fit a reasonable sized island in the room so when we showed the early concept her and her husband were so excited.
When it came to deciding on the colours they wanted to keep the room feeling light and with an open feel, but they wanted to be different and have a dark concrete contrast. Giving the rustic cottage a modern and upto date feel, complementing the natural finishes in the room with mixture of old and new. We used the opening for the chimney as a route of extraction for the piano induction hob and cladded the inside of the chimney with stone making it far easier to clean.
In the last kitchen she had 2 single ovens ontop of one another so again we mimicked that idea and placed the Neff slide and hide ontop of each other giving her a larger capacity than a double oven or oven combination.
Kitchen is in the ALNOSTAR DUR Ferro Titan & ALNOSTAR PEARL high gloss white, with silestone eternal calcatta gold quartz, Neff appliances, blanco sink and Quooker boiling tap.
